Airsoft Games

Someone who is a novice to airsoft guns and games may not know what is expected of them.  There are various types of airsoft matches such as, King of the Hill, Hostage Rescue, Last One Standing, Assassins, and many others.  If you have a small number of players, the types of matches that you will be able to play will be limited.  A normal 2 player game is called Terminate.  The participants play until one of them is hit.  This is a very basic game and can become a bit tedious when played often.

The types of weapons used will greatly influence matches.  If, for example, a player is using a Tokyo Marui Sniper Gun, your strategy should be very different than if the enemy players do not have sniper rifles.

The basic rules of airsoft games are simple.  If you are hit by a pellet, you are out of the match.  If your weapon is hit, you remain in the game.  If you are hit, raise your arms up and yell out that you have been hit.  When you are hit, you must return to a safe zone.  Typically, friendly fire does not count.  If you are hit, you are not allowed to talk with other players.

Players often use hand signals to communicate with their teammates.  These are simple hand gestures that communicate concepts and strategy without enemy players being able to hear.

Players who cheat during matches can quickly ruin the game for everyone else.  The most common form of cheating is not calling yourself out when you have been hit.  Cheating is very discouraging and disheartening for other players.  Remember that airsoft is a game and the objective is to have a good time.
