Shops that are set up to offer costumes to people who are putting on plays are a great place to get some creative energy. There are costumes and hats and makeup and all sorts of fun things to put you in a playfully creative mood. You’d be surprised what you might get inspired to try just by looking around at these things.

For example, you might see a gorgeous plus size womens costume. You might be inspired to buy this for a night of dress-up with your spouse. Or perhaps it will inspire a design that you’ll go home and sew. Or maybe you’ll imagine the kind of character who would wear that dress and you’ll go home and write a story about it.
