The housing market is facing record breaking conditions and the competition for home sales is fierce. With an abundance of homes on the market, staging your home for a quick sale is imperative. Presenting your home and its positive attributes is important to differentiate your home from the hundreds of other homes potential customers might have already looked at.
Making your home look like a showcase home takes careful planning and preparation. Taking down family photos and de-cluttering everything from coffee tables to countertops. Organize cabinets and closets so they look bigger. Try packing boxes with excess things giving the allusion your home is bigger and it will help you begin the process of moving. Light candles in bathrooms and in the kitchen to give your home a beautiful smell and will cover up any lingering pet odors or cooking smells. Turn on fans and lights to make the home look lived in.
In the master bedroom, place jar candles around bathtubs giving off beautiful light and smell to entice customers into feeling at home in your home already. Giving the master bedroom a familiar feel is important since the decision maker of the house hunting trip will reside in the master bedroom. Flowers and richly scented candles on the nightstand will create a romance to the room which will hopefully close the deal and get you an offer for your home in this competitive housing market.
