Do you still need to get the stocking stuffers for Christmas this year? Luckily this is the easiest part of Christmas shopping. Here are ten great ideas for stocking stuffers that you can go out and buy right now:
- Candy. Any kind of candy is great in the stocking. Christmas candy is the best candy, of course.
- Candles. A scented candle in cinnamon or apple spice is a great stocking stuffer that’s appropriate for the season.
- Money. Many people stick cash into the stockings these days.
- Lottery tickets. Instead of giving your family cash you can give them a fun chance to win some cash.
- Toys. Any little toys that you can pick up are great in stockings for kids.
- Love letters. This is a favorite stocking stuffer for spouses and partners.
- Pens, pencils or crayons. Any kind of little art supply or writing utensil is a good thing to add to an almost-full stocking.
- Marbles, jacks, playing cards. These old-fashioned gifts are making a comeback this year. Join in the fun!
- Gadgets. You can get little kitchen gadgets that fit into stockings (like apple corers or kitchen timers).
- Clues. One of the most fun things that you can do is to hide some of the bigger presents around the house and then put clues to finding them inside of the stockings this year.

When I was a little girl I loved going shopping with my mother. We would leave my dad and brothers at home and go do our girly thing together. The joy of this event didn’t last long, though. It turned out that I developed a style of my own early on. It was a style that didn’t suit my mother and one that caused us a lot of mutual grief on shopping trips over the years.
I am happy to say that this has finally changed. As we’ve both gotten older, Mom and I have mellowed out a little bit. As a teenager, I’d rebel against anything that she wanted me to buy. These days, I sometimes take her advice because it’s good advice. And sometimes I take it just because I know it makes her happy. And of course, she’s less likely to pick and prod at me over particular products now that I’m an adult.
We recently went shopping for new lights for my home. I wanted her to come with me because I don’t know a lot about buying light fixtures. I was fairly certain that I wanted access lighting but I didn’t know what types of lighting would really make my home look best. Mom suggested that we check out Schonbek. Mom was right. Again. We got great products and had a wonderful time, something I’m going to be reminded of every time I see the new lights in my home. It’s one of the best things about growing up.

Have you ever noticed that education has its own language? Sure you actually learn your schooling in the language that you speak. However there are words and phrases and acronyms that are used in school that you don’t use very many places. Careers also have their own languages at times so educational settings may have their own language as well as the second language of the career.
Take for example the industry of being a physician’s assistant. This career uses certain acronyms that people outside of the career field might not recognize. PA is short for physician’s assistant, of course. You might also hear DPT which relates to physical therapy.
Now let’s look at the education of the students who go into this career. You will hear them talk about taking online pa programs and participating in transitional dpt programs. They are adopting the language of the career. You will also hear about them taking finals, for example. That’s an education term; you don’t hear that outside of the classroom. Someone who is taking a final in his pa class is taking the last class of the semester in his physician’s assistant studies.
Do you know the language of the field in which you plan to work and study?

One of the most common topics taught in sales school is that the first impression you make can determine how the deal will go. If that first impression is bad, usually the final outcome of that situation is bad as well. In many of these situations, something as simple as bad teeth can result in failure.
But all is not lost, especially if you come to my DC cosmetic dentist clinic. We pride ourselves as smile artists, and we can change any smile (no matter how bad) into a stunning one that will make the best impression possible.
In fact, over the past couple of years, we have seen an increasing number of business people come through our doors, looking for that extra edge that we can provide when it comes to making an impression. In fact, most people could use a little bit of alterations to their smile to change it from mundane to a masterpiece.
This year alone we will help thousands of our clients grab the attention of their clients, spouses, and friends through us working our artistic talents to craft them an amazing smile. I like to think that we are brightening up the world one smile at a time.
