Can Leads Help a Dentist’s Practice?

For people looking for a good dentist, DC offers plenty of options to choose from — so many that most people tend to go with the first one they find. So how do you, as a Washington DC cosmetic dentist, attract more than your share of customers?

A lot of dentists do this by essentially buying leads. A lot of us are familiar with the concept when used in the lending industry — i.e. Lending Tree and services like that. Basically, someone goes online to shop for a loan, plugs their information into a form, and gets calls the next day from four or five lenders. What the website has done is sold the customer’s information to these lenders as leads.

The idea behind lead generation is that if someone goes onto the website and fills out the form, a lender has a much higher chance of closing the deal than if they were to call people randomly (known as “cold calling” if you’re on the business end of the call, and “soliciting” if you’re on the receiving end).

Well, there are actually services that do this same type of thing with dentists, too, except that it’s usually more of a directory service that dentists pay to be listed in. The result is similar, though — for a little bit of money, you reach a lot more potential customers. People get to browse the directory for free, and since the dentists listed there are usually checked out by the service beforehand, potential customers can contact you with confidence.

If you are looking to expand your Washington DC dental service, this kind of thing might be a good option for you!
