Fast and Easy

If you are looking for FTP service, you might consider using one of the many free file transfer services available today. I have been able to find at least four viable solutions when I did a quick Google search. You really need to consider the benefits of having this type of service available when you need it. Most computers these days come with utilities that can make use of the File Transfer Protocol, and if you don’t have one of the currently installed you can easily find one on Versiontracker or Cnet.

I can’t remember the last project I worked on without having file transfer technology. I’m sure it was well over ten years, back before I was starting to understand the idea of coordinating projects with multiple team members. The service itself is pretty standard, and when you find a utility you like it can be quite easy to make backups a part of your daily ritual. I can’t stress enough how important it is to maintain a set of backups. I have heard, more than I care to admit, so many stories about people losing their twenty page paper on their project design. It just isn’t worthy it to not use a backup technique.
