Would You Wear a Mask to Help You Breathe?
By VL on Nov 13, 2009 in Health
Thousands and thousands of people suffer from a sleep condition known as sleep apnea. This condition causes them to stop breathing many times throughout the night. This can lead to a number of different health problems (some of which can be very serious). Luckily it’s a condition that is fairly easy to treat. You can use CPAP masks and other CPAP equipment right in your own home in order to help you breathe at night if you’ve been diagnosed with sleep apnea. Sadly, though, a lot of people who have this condition fail to use the proper equipment to help them sleep at night.
Many people don’t believe that their condition is as serious as doctors say that it is. Since they are asleep when the breathing issues occur, they don’t notice the problem. Therefore they don’t take it seriously. But think of it this way … if you stopped breathing hundreds of times each day while you were awake, wouldn’t you do something about this problem? Wouldn’t you be happy to wear a breathing mask to help you breathe properly all day long? It’s the same thing when you’re asleep! The help that you need is out there if you’re just willing to use it.
