I work at a senior citizens center in a large suburb.  This is a retirement area, so we serve a lot of people.  We provide services like classes in computer use, exercise, and crafts.  We have meeting rooms, we serve meals seven days a week, and we are also an information resource center.  For example, we can give seniors the names of doctors, dentists, therapists and clinics, as well as various tradesmen for things like home repair.

We also keep a list of Florida alcohol treatment and drug rehab centers.  Recommendations are provided by both professionals and some of our clients who have personal experience with Florida drug treatment and Florida alcohol treatment centers. 

People are living longer than they used to and many of them are staying active well into old age, but that doesn’t mean they’re all happy and healthy.  Alcohol and drug use can affect anyone.  I know that elderly people are more likely to be on a number of prescription drugs for various health problems, and sometimes that can lead to dependency.  But the other reasons they get into trouble are not all that different from younger people.  So I’m glad we can recommend some places they can contact if they need that sort of help.
