Keeping Up To Date On Important Community Issues

I have lived in our community for approximately 5 years but I never took much notice to the practices of the homeowners association until I started having to pay fines for violations.

The problem is that I never had an opportunity to attend the meetings they held because I work in the evening and that is when the hold the meetings.  By the time I learned of any changes I had already been in violation.  I know the homeowner’s association is a good thing and they are just doing their job, but it seemed like our communication definitely could improve between the residents and the hoa management.  Therefore, I contacted the board and discussed what could be done to close the gap between those who cannot attend the meetings and voice their opinion and those that do.  In my research I came across a program to initiate a hoa website.  I proposed this to the board and they decided it was a great idea.

Now I am able to catch up on what is going on right from my home office despite whether or not I can attend the meetings.  The site has kept me informed and helps me to avoid fees for violations.
