Take This Class!

I recently took a great class on business etiquette when it comes to being a salesman. I have always worked in cell phone retail and working in malls, trying to reel people in simply didn’t work for me. So I looked into selling premium finance life insurance after a friend told me there was a high demand for employees. I thought, if I’m going to delve into a new career, I’m going to do it right.
So I signed up for a class on the dos and don’ts of being a salesman. The instructor had been in the business for ten years so he had seen the best and worst of the industry. He explained that trying to sell premium finance was often more difficult than selling anything else because of the bad publicity. He said the best way to avoid being accused of premium finance fraud was to be straightforward with a customer from the get go. He stressed how important it was to make each term understandable for the potential buyer whether they have their own master’s degree in finance or have no education whatsoever. Covering my own tracks by making sure everything is fully explained in the simplest terms in the best lesson I learned. I walked out of that workshop with a new found confidence. Beginning my position as a life insurance salesman did start out a bit rough, but with more experience and the workshop under my belt I soon saw my commission escalate.
I urge anyone out there who is a struggling salesman to look into a workshop like this, it really will help you bulk up your bank account and feel good about your career at the same time.
