My friend called me the other day furious.  They fired him!  According to him he built that trucking division he worked at.  They wouldn’t know the meaning of trucking if it wasn’t for him, or so he says.  I told him that with his skills he should do outsource inbound sales!  Those call center consultants are great people and companies really depend on them:  why doesn’t he try that?  He could be an inbound consultant instead.  Plus, that type of work wouldn’t be nearly as stressful as his old job; his poor boss has had three heart attacks, which is crazy.  At this point, my friend is still too angry about being fired to be in any condition to talk to other people for a living (come to think of it, why DID he get fired anyway?) but I think it will be a good position for him once he cools down and realizes he could do better than that trucking company he was working at anyway, so all of this was probably for his own good.
