There are so many different applications that require flow metering. The average consumer probably does not realize that meters are used in just about every industry to measure liquid, gas or air flows. In fact there are flow meters that are actually used in every day consumer products and not just manufacturing plants. For example the typical car engine has a number of flow controllers that keep the gas, oil and air flowing at the right levels which is how engine performance is perfected.
